While working freelance with Design Studio NYC, branding and copy development was undertaken for a project articulating Microsoft’s impact work during the summer of 2023. The brief focused on bringing clarity, cohesion and accessibility to a wide-ranging body of work, translating complex initiatives into a clear and human brand narrative.
The role included developing initial display copy, naming structures and a unified branding language to support the design system. The report presented Microsoft’s impact work across four key pillars — How Can We Expand Opportunity?, How Can We Earn Trust?, How Can We Protect Fundamental Rights?, and How Can We Advance Sustainability? — creating a framework that was both strategic and scalable. The work extended beyond the report itself to include brand guidelines designed for long-term use, ensuring consistency across future communications and platforms.
