HOW:
Finding Refuge In The Run was a one-off, culturally driven running experience created for HOKA and Top4Running during Berlin Marathon weekend. The project reimagined the group run as a moving cultural event, merging running, music and place to create a moment of collective escape within the city. In collaboration with Berlin-based DJ collective and radio platform Refuge Worldwide, the run positioned movement as a form of refuge — both physical and emotional.
The experience took runners on a curated route from Schöneberg to Viktoria Park via Gleisdreieck, punctuated by surprise DJ sets from Refuge Worldwide residents discovered along the way. The journey concluded at the HOKA pop-up space with a headline set by Alex Kassian, transforming the post-run moment into a shared celebration. As Creative Lead, the role included developing the core idea, creative directing the overall art direction, planning the route, and acting as a cultural connector to Berlin and its creative communities. The project functioned as both a brand experience and a personal expression of the intersection between running, music and home within the city.
