HOW:

Movement and Kaos is a short film created for The Movement Movement, telling the extraordinary story of boxer Shannon Ryan — also known by her ring name, Kaos. The film explores a journey that feels almost fictional in its improbability: from working in an O2 store in London to becoming one of the world’s highest-ranking female boxers, signed to Anthony Joshua’s management and sponsored by O2. At its core, the project captures the tension between discipline and disruption, control and chaos, that defines both boxing and personal transformation.

Produced independently by The Movement Movement, and in close collaboration with director Bexy Cameron, the film was conceived as a cinematic extension of Issue 01’s cover story. Created with a small, intimate team, the project embraced a stripped-back, filmic approach that prioritised closeness, trust and emotional honesty. Rather than presenting a traditional sports portrait, the work leans into movement, texture and presence, blurring the line between documentary and fashion film to present Shannon Ryan as both athlete and force — grounded, human and quietly radical.
